I leaned closer to the screen.
My fingers trembling.

She winced.

as if something had nudged her.
“Stop…” she murmured in her sleep.
My entire body went cold.
Because the blanket—
moved.
Not from her.
From the other side.
Pulled slightly.
Tightened.
As if someone invisible was adjusting it.
“No…” she whispered.
That was enough.
I ran.
Barefoot down the hallway.
Heart pounding so loud it drowned out everything else.
I pushed her door open.
The room was exactly as it should be.
